Chapter Twenty-Six

This was a difficult chapter to write. After nearly three years of research, I found myself writing about Rossano's death and I honestly felt, by that time, as if I had lost an old friend.

When I went to the Cimitero Flaminio, I paid my respects to both Rossano and Lydia. As requested by both of them, they wanted simple stones and no fuss. There really isn't any room to place flowers even although I managed to do this once I'd cut the stems. Rossano, Lydia and Oscar Brazzi are laid to rest here along with a number of their friends from the show business profession.

If you want to pay your respects, please ensure you contact the cemetery for a map and the location of the graves. They are far apart, the cemetery is enormous and the main maps are faded by the sun. Be sure that you can read the map given to you. Three bus services go in and out of this place which gives you an idea of how big it is.
